How to match Eye Makeup and Hair color

If you have changed the color of your hair, this may mandate a change in your eye makeup palette. A different color hair can make your complexion look different. Perhaps you have gone from being a brunette to a redhead. The eye makeup that you previously wore may not look as good or be as complementary now that you've joined the sisterhood of titan-haired beauties. Your eye makeup should enhance your complexion and work with, rather than against, your hair color.

Instructions
Advice
1
Many redheads look best when their eye makeup is green, taupe and dark brown, according to Carefair.com, since these colors will warm a complexion.

2
Opting to go gray may completely change your choice in makeup colors for your eyes and face. Gray hair can be striking but it can also wash out your complexion. Counteract this by wearing gray and white eyes shadow with navy or slate eyeliner.

3
Don't forget your eyebrows. If you've undergone a drastic change in hair color, say from dark brown to gray, you may want to get a professional colorist to dye your eyebrows so they will complement and match your new hair color.

4
Going blond may require that you soften your eye color palette, as well as your face makeup. Avoid dark eyes shadows and black eyeliner, which may be too harsh now that you're fair-haired. Consider using brown eyeliner and mascara instead of black and experiment with pale pink, bone-colored or ash eye shadows.

5
Changing to brunette from blond is probably going to mandate that you include deeper colors in your makeup repertoire so that you can avoid looking washed out. Use mochas and various shades of brown eye shadows.

What to Avoid and What to Consider
1
Avoid extremes in eye and face makeup if your hair is dark brown because wearing eye make-up or foundation that is too pale will look stark against your dark hair and you will end up looking spooky, recommends Marieclaire.com.

2
Consider wearing peach and copper eye makeup as well as green eye shadows if you are a redhead because this will warm up your face and look great with your hair, notes celebrity makeup artist Carmindy.

3
Using matte nude eye colors and lipsticks will wash out a blond. Jillian Dempsey, who is the global creative color director for Avon, recommends wearing shimmery eye shadow to brighten the complexion.

4
Consider using gray eye shadow and eyeliner coupled with jewel tones and opaque plums if you are raven-haired.

Make-up and Your New Hair Color

You just visited your stylist and they gave you a great new color for your hair. You start to apply your make-up and it just does not look right. I see this happen to a lot of people. The most important thing to keep in mind is that your hair color will create a different colored shadow on your face if the color is different from what you started with. Let me give you an example. You started out with golden blond hair and a few natural highlights. Your hair stylist says, "You know you would look great as a redhead." O.K. that sounds good to me. Now you have this beautiful mane of fiery red hair that will cast a reddish tone onto your skin. The colors that we see in our hair comes from light. Your hair color absorbs a certain amount of light depending on the color it is. It also reflects light. This is the reason that red hair will make your skin appear to have more redness in it.

Now that you have a little insight about how the color of your hair can affect the color of your skin, let's see how you need to adjust your cosmetics. If you happen to be planning a change like this you might want to have someone take a picture of you without your make-up on with your starting hair color, then another with your new hair color. This way you can see the difference for yourself.

When you look at yourself in the mirror pay attention to the color of your hair. If you have more red in your hair than before, use colors that will compliment it like browns and other earth tones. Maybe you had a light to medium brown hair color to start with and your hair stylist suggested using a cool or ash brown to cut down on some of the red. Now you will need to add more color in your make-up to counter act what your hair color took away. To help you understand this point further red is what adds life to any color. Be it your skin tone or hair color. This is what you should be looking at when you change your hair color. Ask yourself, "Is there more red or less red in my hair now?" This will let you know if you need to wear more neutral colors or more lively colors. The next step is to work with your hair stylist. Most hair stylists are fully licensed cosmetologist, which means they should know a little bit about all facets of the beauty industry (i.e. hair, skin and nails). Talk to them personally and get their opinion about the different colors they would suggest. It is a lot easier for them since they can see how your new hair color has affected you. You can also use our Free Facial Charts for suggestions.

Hair and Make-Up Tips For a Bikini Model

Depending on the photo shoot, your hair and make-up can range from bare and flat, to colorful and volumized. You want to deliver the best results as a model, and that includes knowing what is right and what is wrong for each type of photo shoot. As a model you should know the necessary tools and tips for your hair and make-up. For a bikini model, the best approach to your hair and make-up is to keep your look clean, fresh and simple.

You want to look sexy yet natural as a bikini model, so your make-up should be minimized. You should use only a little of foundation, think fresh and light. Remember, you could be getting wet as a bikini model, so do not use so much that your make-up will run. For your blush, you should pick a dark shade of pink, but not so dark that it appears unnatural. When you brush it on your cheeks, you'll want to work from your cheekbones to your ears in an upward sweep. This will enhance the contour of your face and highlight your cheek bones.

Since your eyes are considered to be "windows to your soul", your eyes are an essential piece of the puzzle. For your eye shadow, you should pick a light color that compliments your eyes, steering towards browns and grays. Although color is good, it can be problematic during a bikini shoot. Usually the purpose of a bikini shoot is to sell the bikini. You want the consumer to look at how great your body looks in the bikini and how great your overall look is. You do not want them just to concentrate on your eyes; it takes away attention from your body and the swimsuit.

For your mascara, it should be light. You want to accentuate your eyelashes, but be careful not to make them "show stopper" eyelashes. If you were on the beach you wouldn't see a woman in a bikini with false eyelashes. So a simple mascara will do great, do not use volumizers or eyelash plumpers. For your eyeliner, you should use your eye shadow. Just dip your brush in your eye shadow, usually the darker of the colors you've used, and brush it along the bottom eyelid, and on the edge of your eye. This will play up your eyes without making them too harsh, as eyeliner has a tendency to do.

You want your lips to look plump and beautifully shaped for your photo shoot. Choose a lip liner that is very close to your lip color. When applying the lip liner, work your way from the inside of your lips to the edges. Edging your lips is crucial in creating a plump pouty lip. Now for your lipstick you should pick a sheer color, within 2 shades of your lip color. Pick a lipstick that has a little bit of moisture and shine to it. Before you apply the lipstick, you should put some ChapStick on your lips. This will hydrate your lips, helping to keep them looking healthy and moisturized. Apply your lipstick, working from the inside of your lips to the edges. Do not use gloss for a bikini shoot, you want your lips to look moisturized and natural, not glossy and fake. After you have applied your lipstick, take the edge of your pinky, and edge up your cupids bow. This will define your lips and create that voluptuous look.

When it comes to your hair, you want to have that slightly curly and the "next-day" messy look. To get the tousled look, you want your waves to appear silky, you can achieve this by applying a dime size amount of smoothing serum through your dry hair before you style your hair. Use a 2" curling iron, and loosely curl your hair and lightly tease your hair at the roots. You just want to create the wispy vibe, not full on curls. For the next-day messy look, there are two tips you can use to get the results you need. Take a shower right before you go to bed and comb your hair out to detangle it.

After you have done this, you can part your hair in the center of your head, and pull your hair back into a low bun and go to sleep. When you wake up and take down your hair, you will have relaxed and refined waves. Another way is to spray texturizer onto your dry hair. After you applied the texturizer, scrunch up your ends to help build messy volume. Once you have styled your hair, make sure you spray your hair with a flexible hairspray. You want to maintain the wispy look without sacrificing its naturalness. If you have difficulty thinking of how to do your hair, just glance inside a Victoria's Secret catalog to get a push in the right direction.

When you have problems trying to create the perfect bikini model look, think of the beach. Close your eyes and envision the beach, imagine you're walking on the beach, feel the sand beneath your feet. Notice the people as you walk by them. Do they wear bright lipstick colors? Do they have a crazy eye shadow color on? Simply think of how you would go to the beach if you were with friends or by yourself. You want to create the feeling of being on the beach or by the pool.

You want the consumer to imagine that that's how they can look in the bikini. If you have big curls in your hair and bright red lips, it will be harder for people to imagine themselves as you. The purpose of a bikini model, other than selling the swimsuit, is to make the consumer want to be you. They want to look as sexy as you do on the beach or while laying by the pool. Remember you want to look sexy but RELATABLE! Do this and you will achieve that sexy beach look, and have an amazing shoot.

Brian Cannone went into promoting fitness with enthusiasm and a very genuine love for the sport. His approach and feelings about bodybuilding are that it is not only a sport but more of a way to motivate yourself and others to achieve results of loosing body-fat and gaining lean muscle along with improving overall health. By competing in natural bodybuilding you push yourself to be in your best possible shape of your life. In fact, he believes that it is more about the results you gain then the trophy you may take home with you. With fitness results in mind Brian trained nearly every competitor that competed in the Milford County and Mr. and Ms. Connecticut events, most of these new bodybuilders then competed for their first time and they were overwhelmed with their accomplishments. This is a sport that the contestants can't loose for it is their physique that is the trophy and the process of getting into great shape that is the reward.

The hairstyles of Australian Fashion Week 2011

Anyone who knows and loves fashion also knows that it's not just about the clothes that are being shown on the catwalks, but the overall presentation of the shows themselves - we're talking attitudes, ideas, and of course the more tangible elements like the models' hair and makeup. The 2011 Australian Fashion Week was less about theatrics and more about wearability, and naturally the models' hairstyles followed suit. Soft romantic styles, slicked-back simplicity and intricate braiding were all popular choices, with the occasional crazy style thrown in for good measure. Scroll down to check out a sample of the hairstyles that were shown on the runways of this year's Australian Fashion Week.

The ten most influential hairstyles of all time

The idea that a celebrity's hairstyle can influence the tastes of the general public is nothing new. From Brigitte Bardot to Cher to Farrah Fawcett, every decade has had its share of superstars whose unique cuts or coiffures have been added to the annals of hairdressing history. Interestingly enough, none of these three women's hairstyles rated a mention when the UK's Hairdressing Council asked its members to list their ten most influential hairstyles of all time earlier this month. Some of the results might surprise you too... starting from number 10, they are:

Number 10: Eva Longoria's Desperate Housewives 'do.It may not be the most obvious choice when one thinks of influential or iconic hairstyles, but nonetheless we can understand why this one made the top ten: it's classic, versatile, elegant and easy to style, all of which combine to make it one of the most requested hairstyles in salons throughout the United Kingdom today.

Number 9: Demi Moore's shaved head in the 1997 movie G.I. Jane. While some may dispute that this is even a hairstyle at all (does no hair equal no hairstyle? Maybe, maybe not) it still managed to scrape in at number 9 on the Hairdressing Council's list of the most influential hairstyles. At any rate it's one for the brave among us only, and certainly makes for an easy appointment as far as the hairdresser is concerned!

Number 8: Rihanna's ultra-modern red hair.Red is without a doubt the colour du jour and nobody does it quite like sexy R&B singer Rihanna. While she's been a hairstyle chameleon for several years already (check out this photo gallery from 2008 if you don't believe me), it's the pink-toned red of the last twelve months or so that has propelled her into iconic hairstyle territory. Since adopting this colour she's worn it in super-long extensions, in an afro of wild ringlets, in a retro-chic wavy bob and in various short crops like in the photo above... is there any hairstyle that doesn't look amazing on this woman? (That would be a resounding NO).

Number 7: Cheryl Cole's glossy waves.Singer, songwriter, model, and fashion icon Cheryl Cole can add one more feather to her hat: that of having a seriously influential hairstyle! Her shiny and super healthy-looking brown locks may make for a simple style, but it's one that ranks favourably among women of the UK, and is very similar in appearance to that of another British brunette who now goes by the title of The Duchess of Cambridge.

Number 6: 'The Pob'.Spice Girl turned football WAG turned acclaimed fashion designer Victoria Beckham no longer wears this hairstyle herself, but that hasn't stopped it from becoming one of the most frequently requested haircuts in salons across the United Kingdom. The graduated nature of this cut means that it can be tailored to suit various face shapes and lifestyles, and while not universally flattering, it has a certain professional-looking charm that makes it an ideal hairstyle for career-driven women.

Number 5: 'The Rachel'.Jennifer Aniston recently came out with the rather shocking revelation that she hated the hairstyle that launched her to fame, calling it "the ugliest haircut I've ever seen." Regardless of this, it was a style that became so incredibly popular in the 1990s that it's been given iconic status, and is still among the most asked-for haircuts in salons. The beauty of The Rachel is in its simplicity: it's really just a textured and layered bob which is a hairstyle that can be modified in any number of ways, depending on the overall look the wearer is after.

Number 4: Ariel's long, thick red hair from Disney's The Little Mermaid.Ever noticed that Ariel's hair is exactly the same above the water as below? No? Okay, never mind then... but at least I now know that I'm not the only one who coveted such perfect locks as a little girl! The cartoon mermaid's hair is clearly a favourite of actress Blake Lively as well, who, after stepping out with beautiful red hair at an event in New York last month, told reporters "I feel like Ariel." Influential? Indeed!

Number 3: Twiggy's pixie crop. One of the most celebrated models to come out of the UK, Twiggy had a haircut that was synonymous with late sixties style: super short, super androgynous, and super chic. It's now seeing a major revival among celebrities and regular women alike, and as such is positioned firmly in number three on the list of the most influential hairstyles of all time.

Number 2: Marilyn Monroe's platinum chin-length bob. When you think of old Hollywood glamour, nothing comes to mind faster than the shiny blonde finger curls of the late, great Marilyn Monroe. It's a hairstyle that continues to be copied on red carpets around the world and has also become a popular look for the formal events attended by us mere mortals as well.

Number 1: Audrey Hepburn's classic French pleat in the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's.2011 marks the fiftieth anniversary of the movie in which Audrey Hepburn became a style icon. Until now, the focus has always been on the star's wardrobe in the film (the little black dress! the sunglasses! the pearls!) but Hepburn's hairstyle has also been given iconic status, with the elegant French pleat ranking number one on the list of the most influential hairstyles of all time.

Celebrities sport the latest trends in everything from makeup or hair color to the latest fashion styles! Check out the following hair color ideas inspired by celebrities for the 2011 season and select the best match for you, whether you're a blonde, brunette or redhead!

Most celebrities enchantingly surprise us once in a while with a different look through the change of their hair color, and this always helps them maintain a high interest towards their look. A hair color transformation is the easiest way to a radical makeover, without having to sacrifice length or your current hair style, so if you're looking for a new, hot hair color, check out the following best celebrity hair color ideas for 2011. These celebrities have made trendy choices which match their skin tone perfectly, so they are perfect muses for your next fab look.

Blonde hair color has always been considered one of the most seductive shades of them all and that is probably why most sex-symbols of the world are blondes. This year is all about rich, dimensional shades of blonde that are more flattering on anyone. To boost the beauty of your hair and give it a more contemporary vibe, take a cue from Jennifer Aniston and opt for a mix of dimensional hair highlights, using warm tones of vanilla, honey, caramel or golden blonde. Go for subtle highlights around the face and top layers for a summery blonde, or opt for a stronger contrast, featuring dark under layers, as seen on Keri Hilson. Whether you pick an all-over blonde or highlights, make sure you keep your color in top condition with the proper hair care routine.

If you've got a medium skin tone and want to create a natural, warm look you can direct your attention towards a fab hair color that simply radiates. Eva Mendes and Mila Kunis both opted for fabulous rich tones of brown enhanced with subtle toffee blonde highlights. The thin highlights can be painted on free-handedly to give the base color extra depth and shine. The key for getting the shiny brown that's oh-so-popular in 2011 is to keep the contrast between the highlights and the base subtle. The sun-kissed effect will bring out especially brown eyes, so if this is the color that appeals to you, don't hesitate to turn to a professional for a hair color update.

Brunette hair color in 2011 is definitely exciting and this simple hair color is a perfect option for women who love to adopt a natural look. From glossy ebony to the deepest charcoals, there's a mysterious brunette to suit every skin tone. Shades with dark chocolate or expresso undertones work wonderfully with a tan/olive skin tones as jet black is the hardest to pull off. As for those with cool skin, the best brunette shades are cool shades of brown or blue-black for a vibrant contrast.

Red is still one of the hottest hair colors of the moment, so if you're looking for an unconventional, edgy hair color, this is definitely worth considering. For fierce and luminous red shades, take Rihanna and Hayley Williams's example and go for a bold bright red hue. Keep in mind that red hair color is high maintenance and will require special hair color protective products which will maintain the pigments vibrant for longer. Choose the red hue that suits your style and skin tone best and wear your gorgeous new hue confidently as this hair color requires a high amount of confidence

Burgundy Hair Color Ideas

Red is the new black when it comes to the latest hair style trends. Lady-like haircuts as well as the more edgy and perked-up looks look fabulous when enhanced with stylish Burgundy hair color ideas. Similarly to fashion shades, it is highly recommended to find your way out of the endless hair tones and spot the one that best suits your features as well as skin tone. Burgundy is indeed the 'in-between' solution if you can't decide whether to sport purple or red tones as it is the fusion of these. These are some of the modish hair color ideas to adopt for the next season to live out your hair styling fantasies.

Ultra-lengthy strands as well as short and jagged layered crops lead the top of most sought-after hair styles. However, besides the haircuts, it is also important to show the same respect and devote more attention to the upcoming hair color ideas for the A/W season. Red and its infinite shades made its way to the peak position becoming the new statement color when it comes to hair styling. Burgundy hair color ideas come in endless variations whether you are eager to go for a block-coloring process or would like to try your hand at chunky highlights and paneling. If you already own a smashing haircut, make sure you enhance the volume and definition of the tresses with an all time winner hair shade as burgundy. Take a glimpse at the looks below for a quick insight into the visual effect of this hair coloring alternative.

  • Block-colored and uniform shades when paired with your properly conditioned and glossy locks would furnish you with an A-list accessory to make a bold and impressive style statement. Intensive shades like Burgundy as well as the other shades of red add softness and an out-of-this-world lush to your hair. The overall fab hue has the power to bring out the best of your well-defined haircut as well as the subtle undertones. Use the proper hair styling products as well as color-protective hair care treatments in order to preserve the spotless and fabulously finished hair color. Not everyone can get away with a similar super-eye-popping hair color, however, if you adopt the proper attitude, you'll have the chance to polish the look to perfection.

  • Keep up the dramatic factor and preserve the flawless shine and condition of the hair. Use hair color protective products regularly and embed the various hair color treatments into your monthly beauty schedule. Those who decide to sport a Burgundy hair color should also consider assuming the responsibility of regular touch-ups. In spite of the great popularity of dark roots in the case of blonde and brunette hair, it is highly recommended to skip this style tendency when you have to deal with a less natural and more out of the ordinary shades as Burgundy and the other shades of red.

  • Red is indeed one of the quickest fading shades, therefore, it might not be an easy decision to go red and still steal some minutes from the time spent in front of the mirror. Instead, consider all the benefits as well as drawback of a similar makeover before heading to the beauty salon. Additionally, it is also important to appeal to the use of thermal protectant solutions before styling your hair with blow dryers as well as flat or curling irons. This is the ultimate solution to save your tresses from drying and other damages.

  • Hit the road for a fab party night out with the girls and sport your brand new hair color. If you would like to master the transition from your natural hair color to Burgundy, proceed gradually and dye your hair only in smaller proportions. This is the best alternative if you lack the confidence to sport a top-to-toe red hair color. Add subtle and luxe highlights into the bangs section or all over the head for a more smashing and visible effect. Combine the various shades of red if you wish from Mahogany to Burgundy and copperish reds. This way you'll secure the unique flair of your do.

The Best Makeup for Your Hair Color

The perfect shades for black hair, blondes, red heads, and brunettes

     Dark Brown
"Dark brown hair frames the face, creating a gorgeous canvas for bolder colors." --Petra Strand, makeup artist; creator, Pixi by Petra

Brunettes whose hair is a rich shade of espresso or chocolate can pull off vibrant, beautiful makeup in hues, like plums, burgundies, reds, and metallics.

Add warmth to your eyes with a metallic-tone eye shadow (bronze, copper, or gold all look great) swept across yours lids and into your creases. Next, stroke black liner along the inner rim of the bottom lash line; finish with two or three strokes of black mascara. (1) Try Prescriptives In Bloom Eye Color Duo in Marigold ($24, prescriptives.com).

    Makeup for Your Hair Color

We've got the best expert makeup tips to sexify every shade of red, brown and blonde hair you can think of
Loving your new hair color? Or maybe you were just blessed with a gorgeous color to begin with? Either way, you can't stop twirling, flipping and tossing your shiny, sexy hair. (OK, I get it. Your hair color is hot.)

Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but here's some news for you: It doesn't matter how fab your hair color is. If you don't wear the right makeup for it, your whole look is totally ruined. Yikes.

OK, fine, maybe not completely ruined (sorry about the drama above, I might be a tad bit jealous of your hair), but it sure won't look good if you're wearing something on your face that clashes with your hair. And I want you to look your best (no, I really do, no bitterness here), so I asked Molly R. Stern, CoverGirl Celebrity Makeup Artist, what makeup works best for every hair color out there.

Click here to see the tips she gave for each hair color

From the darkest hair color (jet black) to the lightest (platinum blonde), she told us which makeup colors, techniques and applications will make your hair stand out in the crowd, even if you're a brunette surrounded by other brunettes. Or a blonde surrounded by blondes. Or a redhead ... you get the point.

So look through the celebrity gallery of hair colors to find the best makeup for you, and be sure to follow these three tips Stern says will generally match any hair color:
    1. Keep your cheeks fresh and glowing.
    2. Keep your lashes bold yet separated.
    3. Don't be afraid of color!

And since your hair color obviously says a lot about you, make sure you keep it looking healthy. "The better shine your hair has, the less makeup you need," Stern says. OK, now onto the makeup.

    Black hair

Good news for all you raven-haired women -- you "have the ability to wear a smoky eye like no one's business," Stern says. So play up your eyes with dark, smoky shadows (Stern says amber is one of your best colors) and use a jewel-toned eyeliner (try L'Oreal Paris HIP Eyeliner in Navy, $8.50) for a pop of color against the black.

Just try to stay away from dark lip colors, to "avoid looking too vampy," Stern says. Kim Kardashian's nude lips bring the perfect balance to her smoldering eyes. And black hair can make you look washed out, so use bronzer instead of foundation to even out your skin tone.

    Dark brown hair

This shade of brown hair looks like rich, dark coffee. Stern thinks dark brunettes have it the easiest, since "they can wear any shade, any intensity." She actually says violet is one of your best shades -- so gorgeous.

Follow Catherine Zeta-Jones' lead and sweep a purple shadow across your lid. Smudge brown eyeliner across your lash line and apply a dark lipstick (try Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry, $6.50) to perfectly complement your hair.

    Medium brown

Warm, chocolate-y brown hair absorbs tons of light, so you'll need to turn up the radiance. Apply a light-reflecting bronzer (try Sue Devitt Light Reflecting Bronzer, $30) on the apples of your cheeks to brighten up your face.

And since brunettes are far from boring (duh), you don't have to stick to muted neutrals. "The best advice I can give here is don't be afraid to wear color," Stern says. Eva Longoria's bright red lipstick is the perfect pop of color against her hair.

    Light brown

Golden brown hair can have a hint of blonde or red, which looks gorgeous with a natural makeup look. Stern suggests a "nude sparkly eye with a peachy cheek," which looks gorgeous with Jessica Biel's light brown hair.

Sweep a shimmery mocha colored shadow over your lid and along your lower lash line. Dust a peach blush (try MAC Powder Blush in Peaches, $17.50) along your cheekbones and go with nude lip balm instead of a bright color.

    Dark red

If you have cherry, burgundy, auburn or dark red hair, don't be afraid to "wear color that contrasts your hair," Stern says. "Everything doesn't need to be so matchy matchy." Blend a few shades of shadow together, like champagne, bronze and green, to create your own unique palette.

And that myth about redheads not wearing pink? Forget it! Pink is actually a great way to bring out dark red hair, Stern says. Look how stunning Debra Messing's hair looks against the pink background.

    Medium red

Christina Hendricks' true red hair falls right in the middle of the redhead spectrum. For this shade of red, a "rosy pink cheek" and "bright stained lips" are perfect, Stern says.

Rub a cream blush (try Nars Cream Blush in Penny Lane, $23) on the apples of your cheeks and stain your lips with a bright color to add even more warmth.

    Light red

Amy Adams' strawberry-blonde hair is one of the lighter shades of red. Your safest bet when it comes to playing with color "is to keep it sheer," Stern says. Use soft eye shadow colors like apricot and peach to create a warm complexion, and top it off with brown mascara.

For your lips, go with a pretty stain (try CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain in Sassy Mauve, $7). Keep them looking "vibrant yet subtle," Stern says.

    Dark blonde

When you have dark, ashy blonde hair like Jennifer Lopez's, you'll want to soften your makeup look. Try a peachy pink blush and a wine-colored lip gloss (like Bare Escentuals Lip Gloss in Celebrate, $15).

For your eyes, sweep an olive shadow (which is your best color, Stern says) over your lids. Line your upper lash line with brown eyeliner and keep the lashes defined with brown mascara. It's the best way to get a "softer look without sacrificing bold lashes," Stern says.

    Medium blonde

Jennifer Aniston's shade of blonde is more golden, so dust bronzer on the areas of your face the sun would naturally hit, like your forehead, cheeks and chin. A golden brown lipstick can help enhance your warm coloring too (try Maybelline New York Moisture Extreme Lipcolor in Chestnut, $5.60).

When it comes to your eye makeup, "stay away from too much black for a day look," Stern says. Instead, go for soft colors like pinks, mauve and sparkly grey.

    Light blonde

The best colors for light blonde hair are neutral ones. To get Reese Witherspoon's makeup look, apply shimmery pink eye shadow on your lid and smudge gold or brown eyeliner along your bottom lash line. Finish the look with peach blush for your cheeks and a berry shade for your lips.

If you want to fill in your eyebrows, keep it light -- "you want to frame the face, but too dark can really contrast," Stern says. Try Cle de Peau Beaute Eyebrow Liner, $25, which is great for fair-complexioned women.
